Join Matt Russo in what is sure to be an intimate, serious and a bit humorous look at Matt’s journey from college to Northwestern Mutual where he has grown to be the number one producing office in NYC. No small feat! He views his life in a very entrepreneurial way. You’ll hear stories of success and failure and success again. About the Speaker

Matt Russo

Matt Russo received a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration in 1990 from Cornell University. His industry experience includes management positions with major restaurant associations, as well as a wholesaler of fine wines with one of the largest spirit purveyors in New England.

Matt joined Northwestern Mutual in 1995, concentrating his market within the medical field and the hospitality industry. As a financial representative he had achieved Northwestern Mutual Forum Honors since 2000, and was the recipient of numerous individual sales awards. In 1999, Matt was named Managing Director of The North Shore Group in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Under his direction, The North Shore Group had been awarded the District Network Office Growth Award for the last six years, and the Outstanding Achievement in Recruiting and Selection for the last seven years. From 2000 to 2006, Matt was a member of the Northwestern Forum, which consisted of the Top 150 financial representatives in the company.

In June 2006, Matt was appointed Managing Partner of the Midtown Manhattan network office, which is consistently one of the highest producing agencies in the United States with over 100 financial representatives. Matt is committed to the continued organic growth and success of the office. The Network Office is currently producing sales of over $12 million annually, and has been the recipient of several awards from Northwestern Mutual, including the Achievement Award, Growth Award, Premium Leader and Persistency Leader.
